After heating the mixture of solid super acid and soybean oil to 60-80℃, keep warm for 20-40min, and then add hydrogen peroxide dropwise. The drop-in time is 2-5h. After the drop-in is completed, keep warm for 7-10h, then reduce to room temperature, vacuum dehydrate to obtain epoxy soybean oil.
Q: How do you store Epoxidized Soybean Oil?
A: Keep the container in a cool, ventilated and dry place when storing , and pay attention to sun protection and moisture protection. It needs to be packed in galvanized iron drum and plastic drum during transportation.
Q: The application field?
Polymer materials: Generally, vegetable oil plasticizers have been applied to PVC resins, and the dosage is 15%. The amount of modified vegetable oil plasticizer can be higher than 15%, 20%, 40% and 50%. The typical plasticizer dosage limit is around 70%. Higher concentrations of high epoxy plasticizers can provide high thermal stability.
Stabilizers: Epoxy compounds include ESO, EPSO, epoxy linseed oil, etc. Among them, epoxy oil ester is most commonly used as auxiliary PVC stabilizer. It is non-toxic, and to a certain extent, it is used as auxiliary plasticizer and heat stabilizer for the production of semi-rigid and rigid PVC products.
Cosmetic plasticizers: Effective plasticizers and solvents in the composition of cosmetic ingredients, used for film-forming substances, where the plasticizer is epoxy oil, used to form nail polish ingredients, cosmetic products or hair care products.
Chewing gum: Epoxidized soybean oil can be added to chewing gum as a softener to optimize mouthfeel. Epoxidized soybean oil has the advantages of almost no toxicity and low price compared with other plasticizers.
Biodegradable agricultural film: ESO can be polymerized with citric acid to form a polyester coating on kraft paper for the manufacture of biodegradable agricultural film. This coating increases the wet strength of the paper and reduces the rate at which the paper degrades.

Hazard prevention and control: The specific operation steps are using the gravity method to separate the wastewater discharged from the workshop, and recycle the oil as much as possible, the second step is to add FeSO4 for aeration and catalytic oxidation reaction, then use sodium hydroxide to adjust the pH to 6~ 7. After two-stage sedimentation, aerated oxidation treatment is carried out in the contact oxidation tank, and finally discharges up to the standard, and the COD removal rate can reach 97.9%.
