Q: How do you store Polypropylene Glycol?
A: It should be packed in clean, dry, sealed, leak-free iron drums. Store away from sunlight, rain, and keep it away from fire sources. Do not come into direct contact with air because of its hygroscopicity. Avoid open flames and long-term heating in the air, especially thermal insulation materials and clothing infiltrated with polyether polyols, which tend to catch fire naturally, so it need paid more attention. The product is not subject to the rules for the storage of flammable liquids, but should avoid entry into ground or surface water as it is not readily biodegradable. When overflowing, cover it with sawdust, yellow sand, cloth and other permeable substances, then shovel it to the waste recycling place and move it out of the workplace, and then carry out sewage treatment. In case of fire, extinguish fire with foam, dry chemical, dry ice, water, etc.
