In the main category, it is derived from propylene oxide-acrylic acid, the specific route is as follows:
Propylene oxide +1,2-propylene glycol–> propanediol
Dipropanediol +acrylic acid–> Dipropanediol diacrylate
What is Tripropylene Glycol Diacrylate?
Tripropylene glycol diacrylate is a common acrylic acid derivative monomer. It can be used as a crosslinking agent in photocuring or radiation curing to reduce the radiation dose; as a reactive diluent, it can significantly reduce the viscosity of the resin system. Tripropylene glycol diacrylate, TPGDA, 2-acrylic acid-(1-methyl-1,2-ethylene)bis(β-methoxyethyl)ester, with typical characteristics of acrylates, common state is liquid, UV Light or electron beam irradiation can trigger its polymerization reaction to form a cured polymer material. This feature is very suitable for the application of coatings (especially coating films) and printing industries. Insoluble in water, soluble in aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, has good solubility for most acrylated prepolymers.
What are the main uses of Tripropylene Glycol Diacrylate?
①Polymerized monomer, reactive diluent.
②Used as a crosslinking agent in light curing or radiation curing, it can reduce the radiation dose; used as a reactive diluent, it can significantly reduce the viscosity of the resin system. In acrylate emulsion system products, it can replace methylol dienamide as crosslinking agent, and has the characteristics of excellent crosslinking effect, less dosage and convenient use.
